OUR MISSION
The Council is a leader innovative prevention and treatment techniques for alcohol abuse, other drug use and addictions. The Council is dedicated to providing quality services and programs with a focus on promoting prevention, treatment and education.

HISTORY
The Council was founded in June, l960 as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) agency. During the early years, the agency provided services related to alcohol abuse. The agency is the oldest non-profit providing substance abuse prevention and treatment in Colorado. As years passed and other drugs of abuse were developed and identified, the agency expanded programs and services to include alcohol, other illegal drugs, prescription drug abuse, addictive behaviors (such as gambling, sex, eating), and related problems.
